Dear Friends,
I can hardly wait to tell you about the new book I’m writing and the exciting change taking place in my vocation as an author. You see, I’ve always written for adults—seven books, in fact!
How can that be true? But it is, and I’ve loved writing every one of them for you.
This time, however, I’m putting pen to paper (more like fingers to computer keys!) to share amazing stories with my granddaughter, Lily, and her friends. She loves bedtime stories about daring women, so why not write a book for her and her friends about the amazing women in the Bible?
They’re just as adventurous, bold, and daring as any woman today. It’s really true; trust me!
So, I’m writing a book with the working title Timeless Tales for Daring Girls: 50 Amazing Women of the Bible and Today. And let me tell you, they really are amazing! Women today of all faiths are paired with biblical women who just might have been their pals.
Girls will lead daring journeys with Miriam and Harriet Tubman, boldly change laws with Milcah and Malala Yousafzai, and discover the profound faith of Mary and Mother Teresa. They will learn about kindness, compassion, leadership, and striving for excellence.
I hope your daring girl, and the daring girl within you, will love this book as much as Lily does. But first, let me get back to writing.
